DEMOCRATIC STUDENTS FEDERATION (DSF), PAKISTAN
Dear Comrades,
The base of progress of every country depends on tendencies of its youth. Youth is not only the founder of the future but also the fuel of the process of progress. More than 50% of total population of Pakistan is consist on youth. The attitude of this large number of population and progress founder youth towards society should not be extreme, senseless and aimless indeed. It is important to pursuit the youth to democratic, scientific and secular thinking and attitude. It is also necessary to shake off them from so-called careerism to collective thinking, thereby, they maybe able to serve the country and nation with patriotism. In 65 years history of Pakistan, this youth has nothing gained except deprivation, exploitation, unemployment, poverty and cultural barriers. For this, the youth is facing a lot of economic, social, psychological and cultural impediments. Therefore, the youth instead of facilitating the nation, most of them are ineffective in their attitudes, or they become victim of extremism.
The cited above, it is necessary for the youth (their lives start with education) that there should be a scientific and modern students organization which can play a pivotal and vital role in their education.
Democratic Students Federation which was founded in 1949 by some famous and talented students of the country got its fame in four years short period not only in academic and students problems revolutionized but also in the country politics, they politicians are forced that they should not affiliate with new imperial powers, according to the leftist opinions. They tried their best to save Pakistan to become a new colonial, parasite and client state of imperial block under the USA leadership. And Pakistan should not become a security state under imperialistic strategy.
For this purpose, DSF organized protests against this contagious phenomenon with the help of theoretical students, youth and leftist active generation. Eventually, state banned DSF in 1953.
After this hectic ban, youth, student’s leaders and workers set up different student’s organizations with different names and titles. These organizations generated political awareness and revolutionary spirit in students, and established their commitment with their society and land.
Comrade Nazir Abbasi started his efforts to collect all the progressive organizations of different parts of the country on a plate form in 1987. It was a result of his everlasting efforts that the Pakistan Progressive Students Alliance (PPSA), an alliance of progressive student’s organizations, was made in 1978. Thus, all the theoretical and progressive active organizations were united in the alliance. PPSA was so active that it was not only started to challenge Zia’s dictatorship but also resisted against the efforts of unscientific, illogical syllabus made in this regime to devolve fundamentalism in society. Comrade Nazir Abbasi was martyred in a military camp in Karachi due the brutal torture of Pakistan Army. DSF greets him ‘red salute’.
DSF reestablished in 1981. Sheer Afzal, Malik Dr Sarwar and Dr Adeeb-ur-Rehman Rizvi kept the mission of Nazir Abbasi and other heroes up with positive and progressive ways.
Due to a deep theoretical and political relation with Communist Party of Pakistan, DSF also become weaker like other Marxist students organizations of the world during Gorbachev’s counter-revolution in World Communist Movement, revisionism and the tendencies of theoretical fall-down with capitalist system. DSF could not survive in that critical and hard situation, and became weak and end gradually.
Nowadays, Pakistani students are facing lots of impediments in education. Education is commercial and costly, educational budget is just 2% of whole GDP, fascism has spread in institutions, extremism has become a monster, syllabus is old and unscientific and theoretical- a few leftist students organized a meeting in July 2011 in Hyderabad first, and then in Faisalabad, and completed the process of deciding about revival of DSF. Also, they started work to obtain this goal as soon as possible.
On June 3, 2012, a great convention (which was first great convention after revival of DSF in July 2011) was held in Pakistan Medical Association Hall, Karachi. Different newspapers of English, Urdu and Sindhi published the news of this historical event.
A Central Committee was elected during a close session, and was announced and took oaths in the conventions. Newly elected members are given below:

DSF stands for peace, harmony, brotherhood, equality and justice in every field of everyday life without any discrimination.
We are willing to work with your organization to fight for the rights of students and youth. Our mission is to change the world.

اساس پیشرفت هر کشور بستگی به گرایش های جوانان آن است. جوانان نه تنها بنیانگذار آینده بلکه سوخت از روند پیشرفت است. بیش از 50٪ از کل جمعیت پاکستان را شامل بر جوانان است.نگرش از این تعداد زیادی از جمعیت و پیشرفت جوانان بنیانگذار نسبت به جامعه نباید شدید باشد، بی معنی و بی مقصد در واقع. مهم این است که به دستیابی جوانان به تفکر علمی و دموکراتیک، و سکولار و نگرش است. همچنین لازم است از آنها تکان از به اصطلاح حرفه تفکر جمعی، در نتیجه، آنها ممکن است قادر به خدمت به کشور و ملت با میهن پرستی است. در 65 سال تاریخ پاکستان، این جوانان هیچ چیزی به دست نیاورده استبه جز محرومیت، استثمار، بیکاری، فقر و موانع فرهنگی . برای این کار، جوانان بابسیاری از موانع اقتصادی، اجتماعی، روانی و فرهنگی مواجه است، بنابراین، جوانان به جای تسهیل ملت، بسیاری از آنها بی اثر در نگرش خود را، یا تبدیل شدن آنها به قربانی افرط گراییست

DSF در سال 1981 برقرار است. محض افضل، ملک دکتر سرور و دکتر ادیب، تو رحمان رضوی رسالت نظیر قهرمانان عباسی و دیگر با روش های مثبت و مترقی نگه داشته است.با توجه به رابطه عمیق نظری و سیاسی با حزب کمونیست پاکستان، DSF نیز ضعیف تر مانند دیگر دانش آموزان سازمان مارکسیستی جهان در دوران گورباچف ضد انقلاب در جنبش کمونیستی جهان، تجدیدنظر طلبی و گرایش های نظری سقوط به پایین با نظام سرمایه داری تبدیل شده است. DSF نمی تواند زنده ماندن در آن شرایط بحرانی و سخت و ضعیف شد و به تدریج پایان دادن
امروزه، دانش آموزان پاکستان با بسیاری از موانع در آموزش و پرورش روبرو هستند آموزش و پرورش تجاری است و پر هزینه، بودجه آموزش و پرورش تنها 2٪ از کل تولید ناخالص داخلی،گسترش فاشیسم در نهادهای افراط گرایی،به یک هیولا تبدیل شده است، برنامه درسی قدیمی و غیرعلمی است و نظری دانشجویان چپ چند جلسه در ماه ژوئیه سال 2011 در حیدرآباد 1 سازماندهی، و سپس در فیصل آباد، و در پایان فرایند تصمیم گیری در مورد احیای DSF است. همچنین، شروع به کارآنها برای به دست آوردن این هدف را در اسرع وقت
